Job Summary

Basic Purpose:

 The Unit-based educator collaborates with the unit manager to facilitate education/training, planning, organization, implementation and evaluation a given unit. The Unit-based educator participates in the performance improvement process in order to ensure competent nursing care, quality customer service and cost-effectiveness.

Education:

Current RN licensure to practice nursing in the State of Ohio

 Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health related field required, master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

 Minimum of 10,000 hours’ experience in clinical care delivery, prefer 4000 hours’ current clinical experience in clinical specialty. Experience with clinical staff development preferred. Certification in area of clinical practice preferred.
