Job Summary

Job Summary:

Processes and expedites merchandise, mail, specimens and/or equipment to internal or external customers for the hospital.

Essential Functions:

  • Stock management to include, but not limited to:
  •      Stocking and maintenance of supplies and stock locations
  •      Ensuring stock locations are kept clean and free of dust; includes cleaning and     storing moveable medical equipment and returning it to ready for use staging
  •      Ensuring stock is within expiration dates and rotates stock accordingly
  •      Participating in or leads cycle and periodic inventories at direction of Supervisor
  •      Researching potential sources for new item requests
  •      Monitoring stock usage rates and notifies leader when par levels are inadequate
  • Performs as hospital receiving agent and is trained on MMIS applications; Completes data entry
  • Breaks down cardboard boexes and operates recycling compactors
  • Transports equipment/supplies/specimens/mail to various locations based on customer needs
  • Participates in or leads Performance Improvement activities

We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of the Mercy Health brand and production print process.  Graphic arts knowledge is a plus.

Computer literacy including but not limited to MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Production print software knowledge and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite knowledge is a plus.

Ability to both sit for long periods and work at computer terminal as well as someone who can learn to operate the production print equipment in all areas of shop to backup operators from time to time (requires long periods of standing and lifting).

Applicant will need to be able to work under constant incoming workload in a fast-paced environment.

Other responsibilities:

  • Answering Print Center general phone line
  • Working directly with Print Center customers for special requests and issues
  • Tracking order progress
  • Responding to customer concerns and research requests
  • Assisting other Print Center areas when needed

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year in Supply Chain preferred


PRN position, works on an 'as needed' basis

Rotating weekends  shifts  and holidays.
