Job Summary

General Purpose:


Financial reporting staff accountants report to the Financial Reporting Manager and are responsible for providing accounting and finance support to ensure adequate preparation of financial reports.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced accounting functions related to analyzing, maintaining and reviewing various financial transactions and financial reports.
  • Support Financial Reporting Manager in providing management with accurate and timely information needed to understand and manage the financial records.
  • Perform monthly tasks related to the preparation and review of financial reports.
  • Perform monthly financial statement close tasks around reporting statistical information in reporting systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial report variance analysis.
  • Develop understanding of financial information systems supporting the financial reporting process, including experience with PFM general ledger and Hyperion.
  • Assist financial reporting manager in preparation of ad hoc analyses for management and external auditors.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
  • At least 2 years of staff accountant, public accounting or financial reporting experience
  • Experience with PFM (McKesson) General ledger and Hyperion Enterprise preferred
  • Current knowledge of GAAP reporting
  • Healthcare accounting experience preferred
  • Experienced/Skilled with PC including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have exceptional analytical skills
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the executive team, colleagues, and subordinates
  • Solid business acumen




Full-time, 40 hours per week, days, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
