Job Description

Job Summary

Under the direction of the autism manager, provides social work and PLAY consultant services to young children with autism and families. Provides family counseling, case management, and PLAY project services both in the home and clinic settings.


Conducts social work assessments/evaluations and provides case management/counseling to children and families.

Provides PLAY project services to families of children with autism.

Maintains ongoing and develops new contacts with outside agencies for referral sources.

Participates in autism in-service trainings. Attends all staff meetings and recommended trainings/conferences.

Exercises tact, discretion, and confidentiality while assuring the safety and welfare of all individuals in the clinic.

Completes documentation appropriately and within a timely manner.

Qualifications - Minimum


Required Minimum Education:

Graduate Degree (Masters)

Preferred Education:

Graduate Degree (Masters)


Required: Independent social work license (LISW)

Preferred: CPR


Must have at least 1-2 years previous experience working with children with autism.

Enrollment in PLAY certification course required within 6 months of hire or as soon as next training session is available. Must complete required PLAY supervision within one year of training to become certified PLAY consultant.

Preschool population experience and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.


Hours per pay period: 40

Hours: 8:00am to 5:30pm
