Job Description

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist establishes and evaluates treatment program for patients whose abilities to perform daily living tasks and vocational tasks normally performed at his/her stage of development are threatened or impaired by developmental deficiencies, the aging process, environmental deprivation, physical illness, injury, perceptual, cognitive and psycho-social deficits. Teaches patients, family members and students.  Participates in program development and quality assurance.

Qualifications - Minimum

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science degree or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at an accredited university.  Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Ohio.

 Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.

AOTA membership is desirable.

Good interpersonal skills are necessary in order to effectively interact with physicians and other clinician’s patients and families. Requires critical observation skills and creative problem solving abilities. Must be able to apply activity analysis in the selection/adaptation of therapeutic activities.

Hours

Hours per pay period: 72

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Coverage work in the hospital setting on school breaks with weekend and holiday rotation.
