Job Summary

Description of Work:

This position reports to the Market/Region CFO, and provides financial support to designated sites by working with the corporate office, management, staff, and other key leaders to ensure that the site and associated entities are operating effectively, with sound financial analysis, and appropriate financial and operating controls.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Site CEO

•         Provides financial leadership to the acute care facility, including:

o    Guiding the annual budget process,

o    Interpreting financial results with operating managers,

o    Periodic financial forecasts and

o    Development of information needed to support performance improvement initiatives.

•         Participates as a member of the site executive management team, establishing plans and accountability measures to facilitate the team meeting operating targets.

•         Monitors financial activities, establishes objectives and recommends appropriate changes when required.

Department Managers

•         Acts as a financial liaison and facilitator within the acute facility.

•         Educates department managers on budgets, monthly reports, etc.

•         Regularly meets with department managers to track and ensure performance on site specific financial initiatives.

•         Follows up on aberrations to expected financial performance (labor metrics, budget, etc.).

•         Supports business analysis for new projects.


•         Acts as a liaison and facilitator within the acute facility and centralized finance function.

•         Actively participates in the financial planning process and analysis of business initiatives.

•         Assists in month-end close to ensure that information is provided timely.

•         Assists in compilation of information for annual tax filings.

•         Assists in compilation of information for cost report filings.

All other job-related duties as assigned.


•         Three (3) to five (5) years accounting and management experience required, healthcare preferred

•         Demonstrated history of effective operations management, including compliance with financial budgets

•         Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•         Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple competing priorities and deadlines

•         Proficient with Microsoft Office, financial forecasting and analysis software

•         Able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent rapport with management, colleagues, and subordinates

•         Excellent communication and presentation skills


  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA in Finance (preferred)


Full-time, 40 hours per week, days, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
