Job Summary

Coding Specialist Responsiblites include: 

The Coding Specialist is a REMOTE - WORK FROM HOME certified coder responsible for reviewing provider charges to accurately code encounters, correct coding edits, and assist with research for denied claims.  This position will assist in tracking and trending coding issues. Coding Leadership will determine specialty specific coding classification.

  • Code claims directly from the medical record/operative report according to coding guidelines.
  • Accurate and timely completion of charge review  work queues as assigned.
  • Assist with tracking and trending coding issues and research of denied claims

Qualifications - Minimum

Licensure / Certifications: 

  • AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification (i.e. CPC-A, CPC, CCS-P).


  • Minimum of 1 year coding experience or successful completion of coding curriculum.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology, IDC-10, CPT, and HCPCS.   PC and Computer application knowledge and experience.  Excellent skills of organization, communication, time management, financial analysis, written policy, trouble shooting and problem solving.


  • Full - Time, 40 hrs/week.
  • Remote / Flexible Schedule
