Job Summary

Research has shown that religious beliefs influence medical decisions. 

Chaplains minister to patients and families in regard to religious/spiritual beliefs. 

As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the Chaplain provides the spiritual and emotional support for patients, families and staff within the context of illness, suffering, loss, and death.

Qualifications - Minimum

Education:

Master’s level theological, pastoral ministry/pastoral care/religious studies or related degree.

Certification by professional national certifying agency (NACC, APC, ACPE, CPSP, NAJC, NAVAC).

Ecclesiastical endorsement.

High level of interpersonal, facilitative and communication skills.

Ability to do theological reflection.

Is current with research in the field.

Hours

Hours per pay period: 40

Hours: 7:00pm to 7:00am

Job Shift: Afternoons/Nights, Job Schedule: Part-Time
