Job Summary

Basic Purpose:

Residency program designed to give new or recent AT grads additional outreach exposure.

This is a one year program.

Provides event coverage and routine visits to his/her school as outlined per the school contract.  Has the responsibility to evaluate injuries and follow the guidelines set by the National Athletic Trainers Association for the well-being of the party involved.  Will also provide event coverage for community events and assist in the clinic when needed following the same responsibilities as the clinical certified athletic trainer.  Athletic trainer will have clinical education requirements as well.

Qualifications - Minimum

EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED AND/OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

4 year/Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training required

Licensed in Athletic Training in the state of Ohio

Must have current CPR certification prior to hire and must earn AHA BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Experience with electronic medical records preferred
