Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Clinical Certified Athletic Trainer:
Performs selected patient treatments under the general supervision of the Physical Therapist, has the responsibility for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of supportive staff, volunteers, and students utilized in the facility. Prepares patients and equipment for treatment; helps perform the housekeeping duties of the facility; performs other diverse duties as requested or required.  Works in conjunction with clinic supervisor and community outreach, to provide event coverage at schools, community events; speaks to groups as needed and participates in other outreach activities as needed.

High School Certified Athletic Trainer:
Provides event coverage and routine visits to his/her school as outlined on the school contract.  Has the responsibility to evaluate injuries and follow the guidelines set by the National Athletic Trainers Association for the well-being of the party involved.  Will also provide event coverage for community events and assist in the clinic when needed following the same responsibilities as the clinical certified athletic trainer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training; Required
  • Graduate Degree in Athletic Training; Preferred
  • Required to be Licensed in Athletic Training in the state of Ohio, Basic Life Support, CPR Certification (AHA)
  • Some experience preferred but not required

Hours

Full-Time; 40 hours/week

7:00am - 7:00pm
