Job SummaryThe Citrix Engineer III responsibilities include completing work on major, complex projects with full competency.  Coordinate with both technical and non-technical staff and vendors on the implementation of complex projects.  Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems on both physical and virtual infrastructure platforms including VDI.  Recommend, implement and document corrective solutions and preventative measures.  Participate in evaluation and recommendation of new technology solutions.  Provide Tier 3 support and guidance to IT for all Health System and affiliate entities.  Document work in the form of policies, standards and knowledge base articles.This position consists of ensuring solutions are delivered in adherence of defined standards and policy.The Citrix Engineer III position is expected to lead technical projects as well as provide guidance to team members as needed to ensure quality and delivery of work.This position is expected to work both independently and with various teams across the Mercy Health enterprise.  Responsibilities:• Perform daily prioritization of work to ensure assigned project and incident SLA requirements are met• Provide training and mentoring on technologies to peers and colleagues• Assist with the evaluation and recommendation of technical solutions based on requirements, ranging from group to enterprise wide deployments• Engage in tier 2 and tier 3 troubleshooting on issues identified with deployed services, providing resolution and remediation• Perform tasks related to the operation, servicing, trouble-shooting, and administration with regards to the following technologies:o Citrix XenApp 6.x and 7.xo Citrix XenDesktop 7.x and/or VMware Horizon View 7.xo Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems and componentso Active Directory including Group Policy Managemento Server Hardware Platformso Virtualization platforms  Position Requirements (Technical Skills):• 5+ years of experience in Citrix and/or VDI Engineering/Administration• Thorough knowledge of Citrix XenApp 6.x and 7.x including desktop clients• Citrix Technical Certifications (CCA-E, CCA-P, CCA-A) a plus• Expert experience with Citrix Provisioning Services• Extensive experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Management• Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon View and/or Citrix XenDesktop• Extensive knowledge of VMware ESX and/or Citrix XenServer and infrastructure components• Strong working knowledge of PowerShell, network protocols, and SSL certificates• Strong experience with Cisco UCS servers and infrastructure components• Knowledge of storage system configurations including NFS and fiber channel• Understanding of patch management and antivirus methodologies and best practices• Experience in large heterogeneous (1000+ Server) environments• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.• Ability to author technical documents and create procedure manuals• Strong experience in Epic Citrix deployment and support preferred• Experience deploying other applications in a healthcare setting a plusStrong interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives• Ability to conduct research into current and future technologies• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail• Healthcare knowledge/background a plus• Strong customer service orientation• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment• 24/7 on-call availability as part of a rotation schedule• Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems or other industry related curriculum, and/or 7+ years equivalent work experienceHours Full-time, 40 hours per week, days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.On-callEqual Employment Opportunity It is our policy to  abide by all Federal and State laws, as well as, the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a), prohibiting discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities, and prohibiting discrimination against all individuals based on their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
